AI agent development services for real business workflows

We build custom AI agents that take over one specific, repetitive workflow, such as support triage, lead qualification or document processing, with guardrails, human review and monitoring from day one.

AI agent development services design and build software that uses a language model to carry out a multi-step task on its own: reading an input, deciding what to do, using your tools, and handing off to a person when it should. We build custom AI agents for one specific business workflow at a time, and we put guardrails, human review and monitoring in place before the agent touches real customers or data.

Where AI agent projects go wrong

Building a demo agent takes an afternoon. Building one you can trust with real work is a different job, and most failed projects fail in the same places:

  • The impressive demo. The prototype answers ten test questions perfectly. In production it confidently gives a wrong refund amount, and nobody notices until a customer complains.
  • Scope that keeps growing. The brief is “automate customer operations”. Six months later the agent handles everything in theory and nothing in production.
  • Too much access. The agent can write to your CRM without limits. One malformed input and it updates two thousand records.
  • No measurement. Nobody recorded how long the work took before, so nobody can say whether the agent saves time or creates more checking.
  • The no-code ceiling. A workflow tool handles the happy path, but the real cases have exceptions it can’t express, and the team ends up working around it.

What AI agents for business can do

Good candidates are workflows that are repetitive, mostly rule-based, digital from start to finish, and frequent enough that automating them matters. Mistakes also need to be catchable before they cause harm. These are the workflows we build for:

  • Support triage. Read incoming tickets, classify them, pull the customer’s order or account data, draft a reply, and route the ticket to the right person. Simple cases get resolved and the rest are escalated with context.
  • Lead qualification. Enrich inbound leads, score them against your ideal customer profile, draft a first reply and create the record in your CRM.
  • Document processing. Turn invoices, contracts, forms or supplier sheets into structured data, check them against your rules and flag exceptions for a person.
  • Internal operations. Compile weekly reports, reconcile records between systems, and run onboarding checklists across tools.
  • Catalog and data cleanup. Normalize product attributes, fix categories, find duplicates and draft missing product descriptions for review.

How we build a custom AI agent

  1. Workflow audit (discovery). We sit with the people who do the work today, map every step and exception, collect real examples and measure how long the work takes now. You get a written feasibility assessment, a design, success metrics and a fixed quote for the build. If an agent isn’t the right answer, we tell you.
  2. Prototype on your data. We build the agent and test it in a sandbox against an evaluation set made from your real historical cases. You see measured accuracy on your own data before anything goes live.
  3. Production build. We integrate with your systems and add guardrails: narrow permissions, an allow-list of actions, validation of every output, and confidence thresholds. A human-in-the-loop review queue gives your team a simple way to approve, correct or reject what the agent proposes.
  4. Staged rollout. The agent runs in shadow mode first, then assists a person, and only acts on its own for the cases where it has proven reliable.
  5. Monitoring and handover. Every decision is logged. Dashboards show quality, volume and cost, and alerts fire on errors or spend spikes. We hand over the code, a runbook and documentation.

What you do: name an owner for the workflow, give access to example data and the systems involved, and review the agent’s output during shadow mode. What we do: the audit, design, build, evaluation, integration and monitoring.

What you get

  • A workflow audit: current process, time spent, feasibility and success metrics
  • An evaluation set built from your real cases, with measured accuracy before and after each change
  • The agent itself, integrated with your tools and deployed in your infrastructure
  • Guardrails and a human review queue for decisions that need a person
  • Monitoring: a log of every decision, plus dashboards and alerts for quality and cost
  • Source code, prompts, a runbook and handover documentation, all owned by you

Who it’s for

A good fit:

  • Operations-heavy teams with a known bottleneck: a queue that never empties, or a task that eats hours every week
  • Startups and SMBs that want one workflow automated properly rather than an “AI strategy”
  • E-commerce teams with catalog, order or supplier data chores
  • Support teams drowning in repetitive tickets

Not a good fit:

  • If you don’t have a specific workflow in mind yet, start with a call, not a build
  • Fully automated decisions in high-stakes areas such as credit, hiring or medical care. We design these with mandatory human approval, or decline them.
  • If you need a general-purpose chatbot on your website, an off-the-shelf tool is usually cheaper

Pricing

We don't publish prices, because scope depends on your product. After a 30-minute call you get a fixed price in writing, before any work starts. No hourly billing.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions in a conversation. An AI agent carries out a task. It reads an input such as a ticket, an email or a PDF, decides what to do, uses your tools (CRM, helpdesk, database) to do it, and hands off to a person when it should. Many agents never talk to a customer at all.

Which models and frameworks do you use?

We are not tied to one provider. We test candidate models from major providers against an evaluation set built from your real cases and pick on accuracy, cost and data-residency requirements. We prefer plain code and provider SDKs over heavy frameworks, so your team can read and maintain what we build.

How do you stop the agent from making costly mistakes?

With limited permissions, so the agent can only take the actions it needs. Its outputs are validated against rules, and anything below a confidence threshold goes to a person. New agents run in shadow mode first, making suggestions a person approves, and only take actions on their own for the cases they have proven reliable on.

Where does our data go?

We document every system and model provider that processes your data, sign a GDPR data processing agreement, and use model providers under API terms that exclude training on your data. Where you need it, we use EU-hosted model endpoints.

How long does it take to build an AI agent?

Discovery takes one to two weeks. A prototype tested on your real data typically follows within a few weeks. The time to production depends on integrations and how much human review the workflow needs; you get a fixed timeline and price at the end of discovery.

What does it cost to run an agent?

Running costs are mostly model usage, which depends on volume and the model chosen. We estimate them during discovery, show them on the monitoring dashboard, and set alerts so a spike never comes as a surprise.

Do we own the agent?

Yes. The code, prompts, evaluation sets and documentation are yours, and the agent runs in your infrastructure under your accounts.

  • Agentic QA with AI test agents

Agentic QA is ongoing testing done by AI agents under senior review. The agents record your critical user flows, generate and maintain Playwright tests, repair them when the UI changes, and file bug reports with repro steps, severity and video. A senior QA engineer reviews every report before it reaches your team.
